Burning Pants with Gasoline?! Mini-Anime "Chainsmoker Cat" Wild Plot Sparks Explosive Laughter: "We Need More Straight Men Here!" (lol)

On the official X account for the "Chainsmoker Cat" TV anime, the 10th episode of the mini-anime was released, and its completely unhinged content is making waves on social media.

The account posted the mini-anime video along with a brief caption: "Have they completely lost their minds?"

The released video features an episode set in a clothing store. Despite being inside the shop, the protagonist Yani-Neko (CV: Yūko Natsuyoshi), who constantly has a cigarette in her mouth, ends up vomiting due to a tight turtleneck, which sets the chaotic plot in motion. The tragedy deepens when the store clerk Al-Neko (CV: Shiori Izawa), a self-proclaimed clumsy cat, innocently uses Yani-Neko's T-shirt as a rag and proceeds to literally burn her pants with gasoline simply because "they smelled bad." Having lost all her clothes and left only in her underwear, Yani-Neko faces a ridiculous escalation where a flashy, vibrant samba carnival outfit is offered to her as a spare "sports club uniform." Ultimately, the episode delivers a surreal climax where Yani-Neko, forced to wear the samba outfit and sticking out like a sore thumb, gets coldly brushed off by Kansai-Neko (CV: Ayaka Shimizu).

The anime "Chainsmoker Cat" is a comedy series based on the manga of the same name by Nyan Nyan Factory. Set in a world where humans and beastfolk coexist, the story depicts the daily lives of Yani-Neko—a beastfolk who prioritizes cigarettes above all else and lives a lazy life in a smoke-stained, filthy room—and the highly eccentric, slightly unhinged characters around her. Though she is a total deadbeat whose sister even tells her that "her face and body are her only redeeming qualities," the comical and smoke-filled daily routines of these strangely lovable beastfolk unfold in a humorous way.
