I'm Anna Nagase, and I'll be playing the role of Mercedes in the TV anime Mercedes and the Waning Moon. When I read the original work, I was strongly drawn to its rich world and its distinctive characters.

I think the protagonist Mercedes is a character who lives earnestly and resiliently, all while hiding painful memories and deep inner conflict behind her cynical expression. Though she has the appearance of a young girl, she also carries a fearless expression and an androgynous air, which makes her all the more appealing.
This is my first time doing character design, so I'm already nervous about whether I'll be able to convey the appeal of the characters in the anime version of "Mercedes" to both longtime fans of the original and those encountering the work for the first time. Please look forward to the broadcast!
