The anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm is based on the latest work by Hiromu Arakawa, author of Fullmetal Alchemist, currently serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan. It is a dark fantasy that follows Yuru (voiced by Kenshō Ono), a young boy who, triggered by an attack on his home village, closes in on the lore, mysteries, and secrets hidden within the village.

Under a night sky lit by a shining full moon, the battle between Right and Left vs. Ivan intensifies. On another front, Gonzou, the head of the Kagemori family, appears leading a large swarm of Tsugai, sparking battles all across the warehouse district. Dera heads to rescue Yuru alongside the surviving mountain bandits. Meanwhile, at the Kagemori mansion, Akio suddenly appears before Asa, who was assisting Hikaru with drawing manga, and tries to attack her. The traitor was Akio.
