"The animation is godlike": Tayama's rare flustered face draws praise as "way too cute" in Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Episode 8

In Episode 8 of the anime Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (now airing), which was broadcast on August 27, Tayama (voiced by Seena Hoshiki) showed a rare expression with flushed cheeks, setting viewers' hearts racing on social media with comments such as "I love it so much" and "I could watch this forever."

Episode 6 revealed that Tayama had once been saved by a male smoker who closely resembled Sasaki (voiced by Takuya Sato). Tayama, however, did not seem to remember that man's face. Then, in Episode 8, "Finding Behind the Supermarket with You," Sasaki and Tayama each tell the other what led them to start smoking. There, Tayama recounts how she was once saved by a male customer who smoked, saying, "The sight of him smoking stayed in my head until I turned twenty, so it just sort of happened."

Sasaki then replied, "Tayama, that wasn't just something that sort of happened. You had been looking up to him all along." Having her own reason for smoking named as "admiration," Tayama widened her eyes and murmured, "Is that what it is?" with a rare expression, her cheeks faintly flushed.

The scene of Tayama realizing her "admiration" was rendered beautifully, and viewers on social media were thrilled, posting comments such as "way too cute," "an ultra-rare heart-fluttering face," "the animation is godlike," "her eyes went full shojo manga," "I love it so much" and "I could watch this forever."
