—With this film, the Rascal Does Not Dream series comes to an end. Sakuta, who went from high school to college, is gradually growing up, and the young viewers who have followed the series in real time are growing up as well. I feel the series as a whole has been very attuned to the feelings of high school and college students, so I'd like to ask what "becoming an adult" means to you.

Seto: I think what the Rascal Does Not Dream series depicts is one valid answer, but I feel there's more to it than that. I thought about it a lot. To take a simple example, earning money by working is part of becoming an adult. That means being useful to others by doing something for them (and being compensated for it), and to do that you need to think about how the other person feels, and so it keeps connecting from one thing to the next.

Becoming an adult, and doing anything at all, are all tied together like strings in that way, so I realized again how hard it is to put into a single phrase. If I were explaining it to someone, I would untangle it one strand at a time.

—I think that acting while truly considering who will feel what about the things you do is what being an adult means.

Seto: For example, suppose I thought at the time, "Being an adult means being able to look at what's around you, not just yourself." I'd answer the question "Why?" too, by saying, "It's so the other person doesn't feel bad," or "It's better for the other person to understand your opinion, and holding things in isn't always a good thing." I keep linking things like that together... I really found it hard to sum up in one phrase, but if I had to include everything, maybe it's having a thoughtful honesty.

—Even as someone who is already an adult, it's something I want to remember. Thank you very much!
