“We’re the Exact Same Height…!” Becoming One with Gengar in a Pokémon Cosplay

Tokyo Game Show 2026 (TGS) was held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from September 17 to 21, 2026 (online broadcast only on the 21st). This article features photos of Ayana Tsuda, who attended in a Gengar cosplay from Pokémon, along with an interview about the points they paid attention to in the cosplay and their upcoming activities.

—Thank you for joining us for an interview again after AnimeJapan 2026! What made you want to cosplay as Gengar from Pokémon this time?

Ayana Tsuda (hereafter Tsuda): At TGS last year, I cosplayed as Nurse Joy from Pokémon, and ever since then I’d been thinking I wanted to do another Pokémon character the next year. I had a few candidates, but since Halloween is coming up, I chose Gengar, my absolute favorite Ghost-type.
