[Photos/Images] Narcissistic Handsome Hero's Supreme Expression of Love: The Reason Behind the Statue of Himmel in "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Moves Hearts 1st

At first glance, it seemed to be the action of a mere narcissist…!? In episode 7 of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," the "deep reason" why the hero Himmel (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto) had multiple statues of himself erected was revealed, moving many viewers.

Himmel is a hero who once adventured with Frieren (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) and defeated the demon king. He calls himself a handsome narcissist, a flaw in his character, but he is thoughtful of his comrades and cannot help but assist those in need, possessing a kind nature.

In episode 7, Frieren reminisced about memories with her comrades. As a hero, Himmel was proactive about having statues of himself made. When Frieren asked for the reason, Himmel replied, "I want everyone to remember. We, unlike you, won't live long." Jokingly, he added, "I also have to firmly leave behind my handsomeness for posterity," but quietly admitted, "The main reason is so you won't be lonely in the future," showing concern for the long-lived elf, Frieren.
