Frieren has been frequently eaten by mimics since her traveling days with the hero Himmel (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto). Fans laughed heartily at Frieren falling for the mimic trap yet again, commenting, "She never learns lol," "This is how it always ends lol," "Two-panel instant fall," and "What experience as a magician?"
The currently streaming anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday." Set in the world after the Demon King's defeat, the story follows Frieren, a magician who has lived for over 1000 years, on a journey to "understand people." The original manga, which has received numerous awards and overwhelming support and praise, has exceeded 24 million copies in circulation with 14 volumes published so far. Additionally, the second season of the TV anime is set to air starting January 2026.
