There were surely many viewers who found themselves shedding tears along with Frieren (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki), the elf who has lived for over a thousand years, as she mourned the death of the hero Himmel (voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto) in a scene from episode 1 of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End."
