The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated, it follows Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a journey to "understand people." The original manga, which has received high praise and numerous awards, currently has 14 volumes in publication and has surpassed a total of 24 million copies in circulation. In addition, it has been announced that the second season of the TV anime will air from January 2026.
