Fern’s calm composure and her ability to make full use of her strengths drew numerous fan comments such as, “This scene gave me chills…,” “It was so cool I got goosebumps, it was amazing,” “Fern was so impressive, pressing forward without any emotion,” and “Fern’s overwhelming presence as a powerhouse is insane.” The magical duel itself also received comments like, “No matter how many times I watch it, it’s beautiful.”
The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End" is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. Set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated, the story follows Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a journey to “learn about people.” The original manga has received high acclaim, winning numerous awards, and with 14 volumes published, has surpassed 30 million copies in total circulation. Additionally, it has been announced that the anime’s second season will air starting January 2026.
