Even in their unconscious minds, they repel enemies—impressive, or maybe just a bit too much personality… The internet erupted with comments like "Scary, scary, scary, scary lol", "Inosuke and Zenitsu are just way too weird...", "Behind you! Behind you!", and "Scissor-Man Zenitsu made me burst out laughing lol".

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, the story follows a boy named Tanjirō Kamado as he fights after his family is slaughtered by demons. The TV anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" began airing in April 2019 and quickly became a phenomenon, with its sequel, "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train," surpassing 50 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue. To date, the total worldwide circulation of the original manga has reached 220 million copies, making it a historic mega-hit in the world of Japanese manga and anime.

Following "Unwavering Resolve Arc," the TV anime has aired the "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc," "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc." The concluding episodes, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle," will be produced as a trilogy. The first chapter, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle - Akaza Returns", released on July 18, 2025, has earned over 29.9 billion yen in box office revenue within 45 days of release.
