Umeda: One ad-lib that’s particularly memorable to me is from Episode 1, in the scene where Alec is jotting down notes and studying the dungeon’s characteristics. At that point, the lines for the floating book scene hadn’t been written yet, so I read the original novel and manga adaptation, noted all the terms Alec would use, and created my own lines—which I then consulted about before performing the scene.

Mizunaka: So that’s how it came about!

Umeda: The part with the magic-nullifying field was something I did as an ad-lib.

――It sounds a lot like the memo that Alec tries to give to Regulus in the story!

Umeda: Yes, exactly. I remember that part clearly!

As we were having this discussion about character creation and recording, the following scene played out: when Tazawa coughed, the other three immediately showed concern and offered tissues, leading seamlessly into some playful banter.

Kubo: Those are some flavorful, good tissues.

Tazawa: Then I’ll eat them later.

Umeda: They’re sweet, right?

Mizunaka: What kind of comebacks are those?!

Kubo: The best things have flavor!

Umeda: I have no idea why I was able to say, “They’re sweet, right?”… This is elementary school-level conversation!

Kubo: Sorry, this is really how we are.

Umeda: We were this close all throughout recording, too.

The interview offered a glimpse of the cast’s camaraderie during recording, showing just how much they cared for each other—just like the members of "Lasting Period" in the story.
