■Celebratory Comment from Original Author: Arata Shiraishi

It feels like it was quite a while ago now.

Editor: "Do you have time for a meeting?"
Me: "Can't we just do it over the phone or email? I've been a bit hectic lately..."
Editor: "No, this time there's something I absolutely need to discuss with you in person."
Me: "Well, if it's something like an anime adaptation, I'd be happy to meet. But I'm seriously busy right now."
Editor: "It's about an anime adaptation."
Me: "Um, I'm free on this day!!!"

So, with some paraphrasing, that's roughly how I heard about the anime adaptation, and boy, was I happy.
From there, various tasks progressed, different materials arrived, and I was like "Whooooa!" and I even got to visit the recording studio.
It's obvious, but there are anime staff members, voice actors, and people with various other roles, and everyone is a professional and specialist in their field...
How should I put it, my honest impression was simply "That's just amazing."
The feeling of my own work taking shape beyond my imagination, in places I don't know about. And simply, "Professionals are amazing."
Just between us, I'm supposed to be a professional too, but seeing the uncompromising nature of the anime staff and the voice actors' performances... somehow it made me reflect on whether I should shape up too.

Changing the subject.
Come to think of it, initially, this work was a story I started all by myself.
When I was doing it alone, the comic editor reached out to me.
From there, I gradually involved more and more people, and each person assisted with their professional work in their respective domains, and we were able to come this far.
If you ask me whether I could have done this alone, the answer is absolutely not, and I'm deeply moved.
From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful to all those involved.
And above all, I offer cosmic-scale words of gratitude to the readers who have supported us.

Everyone—thank you so much!

■Celebratory Comment from Character Designer: Uodenim

Congratulations, truly congratulations on the anime adaptation of "From Overshadowed to Overpowered"!

To the original author Arata Shiraishi-sensei, manga artist Kentarou-sensei, and all the readers who have loved this work.
A dream that would not have come true if any piece had been missing has become reality, and I am deeply moved.

Before serialization began, I still can't believe the fact that Ephtal and the others, whom I drew with my head in my hands in a sketchbook wondering "is this right or that right," are now flying and jumping around on screen (lol).

Once again, I express my heartfelt gratitude to all those involved, starting with Shiraishi-sensei, for letting me board this ship in the last seat!
I also look forward to enjoying the anime version as a fan of From Overshadowed to Overpowered myself!

We are producing this with an indomitable spirit like the protagonist Ephtal.
Look forward to seeing Ephtal's figure as he inadvertently overwhelms his opponents!
