Danko's father, who once appeared at the Tamarikawa Elementary School Dodge Ball Club and built a legend with his indomitable spirit as the "Flaming Dodgeball Player." Danko's way of life is greatly influenced by his teaching: "Always give it your all!!" At Tōkyūji Temple, where his best friend Chinnen serves as head priest, a massive tombstone bearing Danpei's name stands tall, erected through the goodwill of his rival Taiga Nikaidō.
