[Synopsis]
A continent that has lost both "magic" and "magical beasts." The only one left in this land who can wield magic is an incomprehensible symbol of terror—the "Witch." Feared and despised by the people, a subjugation squad is sent to take her down. Zig Crane, a solitary mercenary who joined this squad, encounters Siasha, the "Witch of Silence," deep within the forest. Their brutal fight to the death ends in the mercenary's victory... or so it seems. But as the dust settles, the witch makes a certain request of the mercenary. "I want to hire you as my bodyguard.—Take me somewhere no one will ever hunt me down." The "lonely witch" and the "solitary mercenary."
