A TV anime adaptation has been greenlit for "Heavily Armed High School Girls," an original content series themed around "Weapons x High School Girls" developed by illustrator neco. The TV broadcast is scheduled for 2027.

Based on neco's illustrations, numerous figures have been produced, and this popular franchise continues to captivate many fans both in Japan and overseas. A talented team of creators will breathe new life into this sophisticated worldview, where delicate characters and sharp weapons intertwine.

Masaki Tachibana, who has brought numerous popular works to the world such as "Star Wars: Visions Volume 3" and "Princess Principal," will serve as director. Natsuko Takahashi, who has worked on a wide range of genres including "Yuyushiki" and "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0," will handle the series composition. Jointly planned and produced by Good Smile Film and Good Smile Company, this project is finally getting underway.

Why do they take up arms, and what kind of story will they weave in a desolate world? Starting from a single illustration, the one-of-a-kind "Weapons x High School Girls" concept is finally coming to life in animation.
