Original Concept: neco

My own work is becoming an anime. For an illustrator, there is nothing more joyful than this, and that is why I have taken action and put every effort I can into this project. I am sure I caused a lot of trouble for the production team at times, but thanks to the help of so many people, I am truly delighted to be able to share the announcement of this work with everyone.

"Heavily Armed High School Girls" started from a single drawing and has grown into figures and now an anime. I hope you will look forward to the broadcast.

In adapting "Heavily Armed High School Girls" into an anime, I also spoke with the original creator, neco-san, and we moved forward with the script while getting feedback like, "I wonder if this character has this kind of personality?" When life was breathed into them during the voice recording sessions, neco-san and I enjoyed making new discoveries together, thinking, "So this is what kind of girl she was." Please look forward to the endeavors of Ichi and the others.

Series Composition: Natsuko Takahashi

First of all, I found the heavily armed high school girls drawn by neco-san to be immensely charming. Then, when the producer handed me the project proposal, I was deeply drawn to these girls who, while wearing armaments that possess a weight beyond just physical heaviness, are still "high school girls" on the inside.

I believe that the intensive discussions I was able to have with director Masaki Tachibana, whom I know very well, neco-san, and many other staff members are strongly reflected as part of the work's charm. From beginning to end, I was truly impressed by the ideas and suggestions from the production team, thinking, "Aha! I see!" I would be delighted if you could watch these girls who wear armaments that are heavy in meaning, yet still possess the light smiles of high school girls.
