Manga creator Tomato Soup shared a behind-the-scenes story on X, along with a message of thanks, after the broadcast of episode 3 of the anime "Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia," sparking a buzz online. The creator personally revealed the reasoning behind the appearance of Jochi (voiced by Kenji Nojima), the eldest son of Genghis Khan, Emperor of the Mongol Empire, offering fans a deeper look into the series' background.

The post reveals that, historically, Jochi himself was not actually present at Tarukan — he had gone north and died there without ever returning. It explains that the anime deliberately had him appear at this point anyway, using him as a symbolic device to bring together all four of Genghis Khan's sons ahead of the story's explanation of the Mongol Empire's four royal houses — a directorial choice unique to "Jaadugar." The short manga-style illustration shows a character surprised that Jochi never actually came to Tarukan, alongside a comedic scene of him, now a star in the sky, laughing as though he really had shared drinks and conversation with the others.

The anime "Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia" is based on the creator's own historical manga. Set in the medieval Mongol Empire, it follows a captive girl who survives harsh circumstances using her intelligence as her weapon.
