— What made you want to cosplay as Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura this time?

Maru Sugao (hereinafter, Maru): I'd already been watching the anime for years. I was on leave from work for about three months starting in April, and when I rewatched the series during that time, the way Sakura kept working hard without giving up, and the line "It'll definitely be okay," gave me more courage than I can put into words.

During my leave, I rewatched the anime again and again. Before taking leave, I'd lost the ability to smile properly, but by the time my leave ended, people around me were telling me my face had brightened up! This time, I wanted to be the one bringing smiles to others, so I cosplayed as Cardcaptor Sakura.
