Are his feelings totally leaking out? Fans flood Jinshi with teasing for being unable to hide his affection for Maomao in "The Apothecary Diaries" Season 2 premiere

Episode 25, the premiere of the second season of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," is an episode where Jinshi's (CV: Takeo Otsuka) feelings for Maomao (CV: Aoi Yuki) are more noticeable than ever. Viewers were absolutely delighted, leaving comments like, "He still loves Maomao as much as ever, huh?" and "Lord Jinshi, your feelings are totally leaking out!"

Maomao ends up taking care of a kitten found by Consort Gyokuyou's daughter, Princess Lingli (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki). Jinshi shows up and tilts his head in confusion, saying, "I don't get the appeal (of cats)," but Maomao explains the psychology of cat lovers: "Apparently, they like how you can never tell what the cat is thinking." She continued, "You never get tired of watching them, you can't take your eyes off them, and eventually, you feel the urge to touch them."

Hearing this, the image that popped into Jinshi's mind was Maomao. When Maomao added, "It's annoying how they are usually so aloof but suddenly get affectionate only when you feed them, but apparently once you reach that point, you just give in," Jinshi turns bright red and gets completely flustered while looking at her. Unable to contain himself, he scoops up the kitten, buries his face in it to do some "cat huffing," and mutters, "...I can sort of understand."

Seeing Jinshi writhing in agony as he completely projects Maomao onto the kitten, fans hyped it up online with comments like, "What exactly are you imagining lol," "Lord Jinshi, you just love cats (Maomao), don't you lmao," "He still loves Maomao as much as ever, huh," and "Lord Jinshi, your feelings are totally leaking out!"
