Chills at Subaru's VA Yūsuke Kobayashi's "Insane Acting"... Flurry of Praise: "I Got Goosebumps!!" and "The Acting Is Too Good, It’s Truly Terrifying" / Re:ZERO Episode 75

Episode 75 of the anime Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- 4th season has been broadcasting sequentially since June 3rd. The performance of voice actor Yūsuke Kobayashi in the scene where the protagonist Subaru Natsuki is swallowed by madness is causing a storm of praise, with fans calling it "goosebump-inducing."

Having lost his memories, Subaru repeatedly experienced "Return by Death" without knowing left from right, leaving him mentally cornered. In Episode 75, "Ruin," Subaru was finally consumed by insanity. He wandered around the tower muttering to himself, and his mumblings somehow sounded almost cheerful.

Many viewers seemed astonished by the passionate performance of voice actor Yūsuke Kobayashi, who plays Subaru, including his death cries. On the internet, praises erupted one after another: "Yūsuke Kobayashi is just incredible," "How do you even live to be able to act out madness so realistically...?", "It was beautifully insane, I got goosebumps!!", and "The acting is too good, it’s truly terrifying."

Furthermore, Kobayashi has previously stated in interviews and other occasions that he approaches the Re:ZERO recording sessions using so much energy that he collapses after dubbing. Episode 75 was yet another episode where Kobayashi's brilliant acting shined.
