The First "The Apothecary Diaries" Boys' Meeting Special Features Takeo Ootsuka, Katsuyuki Konishi, Tatsumaru Tachibana, and Toshiyuki Toyonaga! Discussing Character Relationships and Memorable Scenes

The program continued to a segment titled "ABEMA Comment Ranking." Currently on ABEMA's Anime Channel Official X, they are publicly counting down the top-commented scenes from each episode. This time, they reviewed all rank-1 scenes from each episode. The four agreed with the viewers' comments, saying, "The sense of the comments is great," and "Everyone focuses on the same parts." Yet they also reacted to unexpected trends, as the heartwarming scene from Episode 39 where Maomao feeds the finished ice to a eunuch ranked above the shocking scene from Episode 40 where the resurrected Suirei reunites with Maomao. Tachibana analyzed, saying, "(Serious scenes) might be too engaging to allow for comments," to which the group agreed. The close scenes between Maomao and Jinshi in the cave that took the first and second spots drew lively reactions reminiscent of an all-boys school as they wrapped up the segment.

The final segment was the "Even If It's Not Maomao, You Can Tell! Kyuchu Inokori Group Ranking Contest!" A game was played to distinguish between ordinary and luxury items based on various themes, under the belief that they could identify tastes without Maomao, who specializes in poison tasting. In a scene with surreal humor, the four dressed in eye masks that allowed them to experience the perspective of Maomao and Jinshi, began tasting.

In the first question about "Mushrooms," Ootsuka and Toyonaga chose B, and Konishi and Tachibana chose A, splitting their answers. Tachibana insightfully reasoned, "It tasted unfamiliar. If it's something unknown, maybe it's a luxury." accurately answering. In the second question about "Honey," it was unanimously deemed obvious, with everyone choosing A and getting it right. For the final question about "Water," Ootsuka was the only one to choose B, predicting, "I haven't drunk it much, so maybe it's expensive." The other three who chose A noted, "It was easy to drink," and "I could sense the taste," but the surprise answer was B, making Ootsuka the sole winner. Ultimately, Ootsuka, Konishi, and Tachibana each scored two points, with Toyonaga being the only one not to win.

At the program's end, each cast member sent comments to the viewers. Toyonaga teased, "From here on, it will delve into deeper developments, so please look forward to seeing how Lahan navigates." Tachibana added excitement, "The story will get serious moving forward. Unseen sides of characters will appear, and there are still characters yet to emerge, so please look forward to it." Konishi encouraged viewer interaction, "Please write comments! When the story progresses, I want to check out another project like this and see what everyone has to say." Ootsuka reflected on the special, "We're halfway through the second cour of the second season, and I think you'll be curious about the developments ahead. Please leave lots of comments on ABEMA.
